Shades of GreyI walk through this forest of dissonant memories,
The warm sun struggling to stretch through haggard branches.
I tremble as thorns reach up to tear at me and carve their burning paths,
Crimson tear-drops drifting down my skin leave wicked reminders.
Light fights it's way to the ground in tiny shimmering streams,
Leaving shadows to encompass me and instill that everpresent fear.
Wind blows leaves across this cold and lifeless ground,
And the world's reduced to nothing but pale shades of grey.
